Our crystal shop opened March 7th, 2020.

Violets in Bloom first opened its doors with just a few shelves of crystals, while the rest of the space was dedicated to a small yoga, Pilates, and sound healing studio. A week later, when the pandemic sent us home, it became clear that transforming into a full retail shop would be the best way to reopen and continue serving our community. During that time, many people were turning inward and seeking tools for healing and self-discovery, and our crystals and offerings became a source of comfort and introspection as the world shifted.

Many people liked the fact that our crystals & minerals and other energy products are authentic and have good, clean energy. We work with local businesses and international small business suppliers that respect the land, people, animals and the crystals and minerals that are excavated. We consistently inform our community about the uses and the cultural healing traditions of our products and services.

In 2023 we wanted to add more natural products based on our home use of herbs and essential oils. We added our dried herbs, tea blends and botanical salts.

Our healing and holistic arts studio opened (technically) in 2022.

We opened our first independent wellness space in 2022, after being in a small area tucked at the rear of our crystal shop. From there, we grew into an upper-level location with a grassy lawn that became home to outdoor classes and moon circles. In 2024, we expanded once again—literally breaking through to the space next door—to create the healing and holistic studio we now call home!

We’ve always had a heart to give.

We give back to local 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations with the support of our customers and friends, whose generosity helps extend our mission of healing beyond our walls. Social responsibility is at the heart of what we do, reminding us that true spiritual wellness is not only personal, but also shared within the community.

What’s next? We’re known for our transformations.

With our studio and store ever changing, who knows what will be next for us? We ask that you continue to be curious and support us to see! In the meantime, take a look ot some of our transitions throughout the years pictured in our photo gallery. The background stuff:

My educational background is in the science of kinesiology, the physical way the body connects & moves. As a career my work has mostly been in wellness as a board certified health and wellness coach. I continue to work within this capacity holding space weekly not only at Violets in Bloom but also in collaboration with other wellness companies and organizations.

I studied crystals with The Association of Melody Crystal Healers, Melody was the author of Love is the Earth, which describes the properties of hundreds of stones and techniques for advancing the work of healing through crystals. I am Reiki I & II certified and I hold a certification in Mat as well as equipment Pilates. I am 200 hour certified in Yoga and I am trauma informed in speach and listening. I am always looking to learn as I try to start each day with a beginners mindset. I am a recovering perfectionist and people pleaser.

I enjoy writing short stories & hailku as well as writing and recording meditations. My favorite color is violet. My favorite crystal is Rose Quartz and I enjoy the season of summer best. I have 2 cats, three children (1 is now in his heaven) and a husband & partner who helps me with all of my life stuff.

Dream it, Follow it and it will Come.

My personal story of Violets in Bloom trace back to the front yard of my childhood home, where I would sit beneath a tree on a patch of moss holding a few stones while day dreaming. Years later, entrepreneurship would further guide me in realizing my dreams. Violets in Bloom reminds me of those moments of connection while in nature with the work I do today.

I’ve been an entrepreneur my whole life—starting at 12 years old selling random bird feathers, later creating beaded jewelry, and even running a painted wine glass business. Violets in Bloom, however, is the fullest expression of my heart, built on the integration of all the different aspects of my passions and human energy. My deepest joy is providing dedicated spaces for shift and healing for others, rooted in connection and care.

I believe in nurturing the five senses to support mental, social, spiritual, physical and energetic well-being.

I’m still learning that how I shape my actions & thoughts, shape how I show up for others—whether it’s reading (or listening to) a few pages of an inspiring book, taking a midday walk & stretch, or enjoying a healing cup of tea, these simple acts of self-care are essential.

Violets in Bloom is more than a studio—it’s a space for transformation, belonging, and shared growth. I am so very grateful to the community who walk through our doors; active presence is the reason we continue to grow together.

Together we give back as a Community.
